With versatility to the perfect thread
When it comes to tool geometries in thread machining, the customer's wish is clear: universality is the top priority, especially when requirements vary. For this reason, REIME NORIS GmbH is further expanding its thread milling portfolio with the new NORIS SFR15 UNI series.
The NORIS SFR15 UNI is a multi-row universal thread mill for thread depths up to 2xD, specially designed for machining the most common materials. With a helix angle of R15°, these cutters can withstand a high mechanical load with smooth milling behavior. In addition, the chamfering of the core hole with a face chamfer and the cross-dimension profile design guarantee the user even more flexibility.
Furthermore, the NORIS SFR15 UNI ensures high bore and thread quality, which reduces scrap to a minimum. The versatility of the tool also ensures cost and time savings by reducing the required number of tool variants.
To withstand the exceptional demands of machining, the new ACR coating was developed. In particular, the optimum coating adhesion and the extremely smooth surface ensure long tool life and high process reliability when machining a wide range of materials.
The NORIS SFR15 UNI is available from stock in all common standard sizes with internal coolant supply and shank according to DIN 1835 HB. In addition to the thread types M and MF, UNC, UNF, G and NPT are part of the wide product range.
