The PSI Software AG has been providing software for the optimization of production processes since 1969. At the end of the 1990s this business unit was carved out as a wholly-owned subsidiary under the name of PSIPENTA Software Systems GmbH. Since 1 January 2016, the company has continued its business activities under the name of PSI Automotive & Industry GmbH.
As one of the largest independent companies in the PSI Software AG and in cooperation with major companies, market leading medium-sized enterprises and renowned research institutes, the company develops and delivers modular integrated solutions under the product brand PSIpenta, amongst other things for:

Larger medium-sized enterprises and corporations frequently apply ERP solutions with a commercial focus. For production control these are traditionally conceived very inflexibly and do not provide sufficient functions for specific sector requirements. This includes the reproduction of work schedules, planning of limited capacities, sequence planning and maintenance planning for machines or software solutions for mobile employees. Consequently, companies look not only for MES solutions for individual plants or production lines, but rather also for suitable modules to complement the cross-line and plant ERP system – and if possible from one provider.
