Customer requirements and their fulfillment have significantly influenced the development of the printer. The design of the system is compact and at the same time robust for safe and reliable production. The print volume permits workpieces with a base area of up to 800 x 800 millimetres and a maximum height of 500 millimetres. 3D printing is carried out using 4 fibre lasers with a maximum power of 1 kW, each.
In addition, we have carried out extensive CDF simulations to optimise the laminar gas flow. The result is an optimised process chamber with specifically arranged gas inlets and outlets. These permit the creation of homogeneous component properties over the entire surface.
The AMS 800 consists of two basic parts, the process chamber on the one hand and the cleaning station on the other.
