Who we are
As a metal-processing industrial company, SBOT employs about 350 people at its Ternitz location. A 100 % subsidiary of Schoeller-Bleckmann Oilfied Equipment AG, we are listed on the Vienna Stock Exchange, we have around 1,200 employees worldwide and are part of an internationally active group.

What we do
As global market leader, we process and distribute our own non-mag steels and manufacture high-precision parts for the oilfield industry, which we export to all oil-producing regions in the world.
With our products, we supply the core components for MWD/LWD parts, which are used for measurement and determination of data during the drilling process on the oilfields.
As a supplier for machining long parts from various materials (especially high-alloy steels), we can support customers in all sectors of industry with our many years of experience in metalworking.
Certified in accordance with EN/AS 9100 in 2016, SBOT has also made its first successful step into the aviation industry.
What we offer
The demands placed on the load-bearing capacity of steels in terms of temperature and corrosion are constantly increasing.
In close cooperation with our partners in the steel plant as well as with research institutes and universities, we carry out much active research and development work. Together we develop new materials and improve existing brands. We are a solution-oriented company and deal with optimising production processes or looking for new technical processes.
The excellent technological know-how of our employees sets the trend and gives us an outstanding position in the industry. Our employees work on more than 120 CNC-controlled machines on an area of around 45,000 m².

A strict control system guarantees an excellent end product. The entire value-added process is part of our multiple-certified quality management and extends from procurement of raw materials through precision machining to the final inspection of finished products.
Our specially trained employees use 3D coordinate measuring machines among other things, and use both destructive and non-destructive testing methods (UT, PT, X-ray etc.). SBOT has its own testing laboratory for mechanical-technological tests.
Schoeller-Bleckmann Oilfield and Aerospace Technology also attaches great importance to sustainable and environmentally-conscious operational management. The fulfilment of product-specific expectations and requirements of the customer is carried out taking into account resource and energy-saving aspects in accordance with ISO 14001 guidelines.
