AMB 2016 - Digitalization in Machine Tool Manufacturing

The AMB – the International Exhibition for Metalworking – will take place on Sep. 13 to 17, 2016, on the Stuttgart trade show premises.

Under the motto “On the Way to Industrie 4.0 – Digitalization in Machine Tool Manufacturing“, we put the focus on the increasing digitalization in the machine tool world. With integrated software and hardware solutions and innovative technologies, we support both machine manufacturers and operators on their way to become a digital enterprise.

Experience live our solutions for the operation of machine tools and their continuous optimization. The systematic application of the exhibited digitalization possibilities opens up completely new potentials.

We are looking forward to your visit in Hall 4/ Booth C12!

Trade show highlights

Everyone talks about digitalization – we are not just talking, we are presenting our specific solutions for the machine tool world at the AMB 2016. These include, for example:

  • Seamless digital production and optimized use of manufacturing resources
Experience live our solutions for CAD/CAM-CNC, the virtual machine and the networking of machine tools among each other and through to the management level. We show the latest developments from our applications Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) and SINUMERIK Integrate.

  • New cutting functions: Enhanced high-speed cutting
Numerous new features and functions help you further increase the productivity and quality in cutting. For example, when milling, milling-turning and turning-milling – in series production as well as in the JobShop production of smaller quantities. One of our highlights: Top Surface for perfect workpiece surfaces in mold-making.

  • Working simply and efficiently with machines: smart Operation
Our solution for state-of-the-art workshop production, even without IT experts: smartOperate provides touch technologies on the operator panel for manufacturing applications; smartPrepare provides a production planning workstation for the machine operator; smartIT allows the arbitrary access to memories within the network and provides the ordering documentation on the Operator panel.

  • Solutions for robot integration: Run MyRobot for handling and machining
Whether for loading and unloading or for new machine tools: Robotics are increasingly integrated in the machine tool. NX CAM provides integrated programming solutions also for robot-based machining applications.

  • Additive Manufacturing – opens up completely new product possibilities
The SINUMERIK CNC is the trendsetter when it comes to merging different technologies into multitasking concepts – thus also enabling the merging of additive and subtractive technologies into hybrid concepts! The programming via NX CAM including the virtual simulation of the deposition and removal of material is the prerequisite for successful parts manufacturing.

Experience live how the FZ12 MT high-speed machining center from the CHIRON company using SINUMERIK 840D sl digital concepts already proves its worth in practical applications!

Our global service portfolio, the spindles portfolio offered by our subsidiary company Weiss GmbH, process monitoring systems provided by our partner Artis GmbH, as well as the Siemens Financial Services round off the broad range of supply for manufacturing companies.

Visit also our Special Youth Show in the Atrium, Hall E0/ Booth 100.
