Machine Tools Industrialists and Business Association (TİAD) was established in 1992. It is a professional non-governmental organization established to bring together industrialists and business people operating in the field of machine tools, complementary equipment (tools, clamping systems, spare parts of machine tools and other related equipment/machines, etc.), metrology and quality control equipment, software used in production technologies, other related manufacturing machines (additive manufacturing machines, robots, automation and mechatronic systems, laser welding, optical equipment processing, etc.), which are the basic production tools of the manufacturing industry, production, export, after-sales technical services, support services for increasing value-added production and export power through technology transfer to establish the professional principles of the sector and to ensure their implementation and to represent its members in the best way possible on relevant platforms at home and abroad.

Operating from its Headquarters in Istanbul Bayrampaşa, TİAD is continuously developing with its 232 members and fields of activity and reinforces its leading position within our country's industry. More than 80 percent of Türkiye's machine tool and related complementary systems needs are met by TİAD members.

Representing the machine tool sector with all its aspects and carrying out critical studies for the Turkish manufacturing industry, TİAD is active both in our country and on a global scale and represents the sector in the best way in the organizations that have a say. TİAD, which is a member of the Turkish Ministry of Industry and Technology Machinery Technical Committee, the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey Machinery and Equipment Manufacturing Assembly and MAKFED in Turkey, has been a member of the “European Machine Tool, Tool and Technologies Trade Association (CELIMO)”, the umbrella organization of the machine tool sector in Europe, since 2000. TİAD held the presidency of CELIMO between 2006-2008 and 2020-2023 and is currently a Member of the Board of Directors. CELIMO represents over 1,000 companies operating in the field of machine tools with a total capital exceeding 15 billion Euros and constitutes a primarily important market for manufacturers in our country.
