"Cutting funding sends the wrong signal"

Peter Müller-Baum, Managing Director of VDMA Power-to-X for Applications, comments on the planned reduction in funding from the Climate and Transformation Fund (KTF) from the 2025 financial year:

"The German government wants to cut funding in many areas of climate protection from the 2025 financial year, which is completely the wrong signal.
The hydrogen ramp-up in particular is on shaky ground and the danger that SMEs in particular will no longer be able to continue taking risks here is real. It must be clear to every political decision-maker that Germany and Europe are in fierce competition as locations for a new industry. Therefore, setting goals also requires the strength to achieve them."
