Crank press

Crank presses are mechanical presses with crank gearing, also known as screw jack. The simple crank gear units include a slider-crank gear mechanism. The category of extended gear units include a slider-crank knuckle-join gear unit and a steering-arm gear unit. Each of these gearing mechanisms possesses a characteristic curve for ram force and ram velocity. Both variables will depend upon the crank angle involved.
