Witte is now offering one of their most popular vacuum units over the last decade with a new improved design
This tried and tested series of modular vacuum units has been adapted to current customer requirements and brought up to state of the art in terms of operation and process reliability.
The essential characteristics of the vacuum unit - used for all kinds of applications – are the robust vacuum pump for creating end vacuum (up to 2 hPa), the large-volume tank with integrated liquid separation and the compact design. Customers can choose between 8 sizes and operating voltages.
The new features are steering and fixed rollers, with which the unit can safely be transported from one location to another as well as improved manual emptying of sucked in liquids. Cooling liquids collected during the clamping and manufacturing process are now simply drained by opening a ball valve and the liquids collected can be returned into the coolant circuit.
A pressure difference switch is used to set max/min of operating vacuum. It ensures not only automatic operation of the unit but also maintains the same level of negative vacuum pressure during clamping and manufacturing processes.
The vacuum unit is largely self-sufficient in its use and requires only maintenance at mandatory intervals.
Vacuum units are used in a wide variety of industries e.g. In machine tools for part clamping, on machine tools for grinding, milling, drilling and, in particular, for clamping elements in semiconductor technology together with Witte vacuum chucks.
