Costly measuring cells are justified via a high degree of utilization. To maximize this, measuring engineers in the outer Meisterbock area at VW Emden simultaneously implemented a loading process and quick changeover of complete measuring set-ups, incorporating ultra-precise positioning in the measuring area. Horst Witte was instrumental in cooperating and supporting this process by supplying mobile aluminum sandwich plates.
Hall 13 at Volkswagen Emden houses a Technology and Meisterbock center. In the automotive industry a "Meisterbock" is understood to be a testing tool, on which individual parts, modules or entire vehicles are mounted during pre-production, in order to assess the interaction of components with respect to assembly, gaps, look and feel.
