Witte has risen to these new challenges in the very early stage of development of optical measuring systems and once again ALUFIX has proved to be the basis for an almost limitless kit solution.
In addition to multifunctional components: Target frame, free plug-in targets with different geometries, calibration structures (to name just a few solutions), Witte has now developed further solution features.
The scan frame shown here is a combined fixture for both front and rear doors, right and left, as single components, for raw press parts, for pre-painted and even complete door assemblies.
Contrary to the previous practice of manufacturing a specific measuring fixture for each door or for a certain model, the Witte scan frame solution can be used for doors of many model series. The modularity of ALUFIX allows the exchange of several body elements, such as hinges and locks.
The rotation on the longitudinal axis enables measurement and functional testing of the doors both in ideal vehicle location but also in an inclined position.
Other versions which also allow mounting of decklids and tailgates or similar fixtures for side panels are being used for more and more scanning applications.
