AMF Andreas Maier GmbH & Co. KG has been recognised again The winner of the German Design Awards 2017 is announced: After being declared the winner in 2016 for our VARIBO wrought-iron gate lock, AMF has won an internally leading design prize again in 2017. For its high-quality design and compactness, the professional tool with multiple uses, theAMF power clamp 7600, has been awarded the coveted “SPECIAL 2017” award in the category “Excellent Product Design, Industry”. The award ceremony took place at the beginning of Friday as part of the international trade fair “Ambiente” at the Frankfurt Exhibition Grounds. The German Design Award is the international premium prize of the German Design Council. Only the best products, manufacturers or designers are admitted here. Every year, the German Design Council, a foundation initiated by the German Parliament, to which 200 design-oriented German companies belong today, awards prizes to high-quality submissions from product and communication design. The nominated products are assessed according to a wide range of criteria, such as functionality, design quality and sustainability . This year, over 4,000 works were presented to the jury. The power clamp, a mechanical clamping element from AMF Andreas Maier GmbH & Co. KG, has deservedly been awarded the “SPECIAL 2017”: The power clamp, made of forged tempered steel, is a mechanical clamping element with a multitude of uses for universal machining of the most varied materials. Used on injection moulding machines and for milling in tool and mould making, the power clamp ensures a reliable hold in the clamping operation. The compact design is only one feature of the sophisticated design by AMF. The optional assembly element fits seamlessly in both material and shape. We are very happy to receive this new award - more than 125 years of experience and competence in clamping technology have made this possible.
