Hello all,
I have a strange problem with the test burn pattern from my laser tube. Long story short first up is that my power supply died and the link below is the background,...
Hello everyone,
Just a bit of feedback for those that had read my original post. It turned out that the power supply was not working even though all the tests that I...
Thanks for the reply, of course smart me was clever enough to order a spare tube but not a spare power supply, dammit.
I don't mind getting a spare power supply but was hoping to get confirmation...
Hello everyone,
Need a bit of detailed support/trouble shooting here with my G Weike LC1390 120 Watt C02 laser. Laser cut 5.3, Leetro 6515. Machine is just over a year...
Ummm kalld, you do realise don't you that it appears that bluesman wrote his message back in 2006.
How long have I been doing it the hard way you may ask, way too long!! I had never thought of clicking on that little button. Arrgh!!!!
Hi Henry, sorry I can't help you just yet as I am having the same issue which I am still working through. Just to get some thoughts down and bump this thread along a bit and which may get some help...
Hello to all the Lasercut users out there.
I have a bit of annoying problem when cutting out multiple identical items from a sheet of material. One example is I am cutting long thin strips,...
Hi, had to pull my spindle apart one time as it made a terrible sound when milling out a small pocket with a slot drill. It grabbed a bit then rattled and clattered, luckily I was able to shut it...
Keep it all the same, either metric or imperial and just convert the amount.
The control could not care less about what pitch screw that you use as long as it knows how many steps it will take to...
Probably a long shot but could you find something that already has a hex in it already and machine it out of that. Dunno maybe a grub screw but not sure if the outside thread will have enough meat...
Dammit, last night I was thinking about this very thing. I was just going to drop out the AC to the power supply and then I realised that I would also like to disable the drives, bugger it, I just...
:)
Thanks Al for that, yes it is just for home use only not commercial sale.
Happy to go this way just wanted to check to see what could go wrong.
Biggest one I can think of is if the SSR...
Hi all,
As the heading states I would like to use a solid state relay activated by an e stop to stop main AC power coming into my power supply.
The relays will be adequately heat...
The way that I did mine was to place the screw in a 4 jaw chuck and use and indicator to clock up the base of the grooves.
I placed the indicator in the base of the groove and moved left and right...
Hi there,
Also keep in mind that the ball grooves will no doubt not be concentric to the outside diameter of the screw.
So on the off chance you just maybe, possibly had a bearing...
Hi there Cyclestart and everyone watching this great thread,
Cycle, just having look at the pictures of the patterns you have done and one thing seems to stick out, it...
I once set one knife handle on fire and sort of assumed it was celluloid type material by the way it burned.
Yeah me as well, lemme in, lemme in, I wanna see.
Cheers M
Yay, I win.
I'll send you the bill and you can pay either cash or paypal :)
Ahh just kidding, glad it turned out all ok.
Cheers M
Yeah that's the problem when it is digustingly hot, everything just gets worse and worse.
I may just end up having to put a fan in and be vigilant on the cleanliness of the fabric filters. I...
Yeah thanks for the reply Al,
I will go for the non fan route to begin with and if need be cut a hole and pop one in at a later stage.
As for high temps...
Hmmm stepper motor with integral clutch, now I've seen everything.

Hi all,
I have been lucky enough to get a stainless steel electrical enclosure which I will be using to house all the electronics for a router build.
Measurements are 600 x 600 x...
Hi all, check out this ebay ad for a heavy duty plumb bob. Never seen one that has such a nice finish on it. Even comes with a morse taper if you want to use it for something other than running a...
I love metric. Tapping drill sizes are so easy to work. Just take away the thread pitch from the size of thread.
Eg M10 x 1.5. Tap drill is 8.5 (10 - 1.5)
Simple
Have a look here to easily work out center distances and belt lengths. It is easy to work out yourself when both the pulleys are the same size but gets a bit harder when one is bigger than the other....
Not really any help with the actual removal of the drill.
Depending on how the part is designed and if it is capable of it could you pocket out the material from around the drill so in effect you...
Hello ilya,
Firstly congrats on the machine, those panels sure do look "it and a bit"
It seems to me that the reason you are getting a lot of marks on the floors of the...
