Sounds like a bootleg, use this at home for practice, dont run a business with bootleg.
Hello, I have garage in a duplex which limits my garage noise to 80 decibels, Im looking at square column vertical mills and wondering if there is a way to reduce the noise?
Gear lapping?

Foincc m350 is now rebranded as Digital Dream ddsc Expert, Foincc seems to be extinct now.
Foincc M350 is the new version, Google search yeilds no result, probably Fanuc are banning them.
In 2001 I used to make injection molds on a Mazak FJV250 which had a control system named Mazatrol.
It was a lovely control system, but 95% of the time cadcam files were running and hardly any use...
This is not a mach3, an smc5 by lollette.
All the added set and run buttons are "book ended" to sides just a real industrial machine so you dont muddle up in a panic.
I'm a probably 25 years behind you Ian, similar interests and background though.
Probably everyone at CNCzone 'bench top' thread have similar limitations, maybe a basement or a single car space...
Ian, these vertical grinders give me the impression of a miniature wash grinder, my memories of wash grinding were concave faces with deep groove scratches, more of a "pre'" machining operation.
I'm...
The grizzly just about nails it, I need a 4" by 4" work area for piston rings, tappet shims, bucket follower heads. A bit pricey though, a seig copy would be nice.
Hi, as the title goes, most surface grinders are big iron lumps.
Surely a benchtop could be done? All the better for adding cnc to it, thoughts?
Superb machine.
O.k, I get it now. That 'delete' thread was a multiple thread post of the same title.
50v on a 1200oz stepper sounds perfect, close to servo performance.
Relax, theres no need to delete at this great website.
I used to spend alot of time at f1technical, they have user rating system and it's brutal, very alienating.
Here at the zone it's all good...
The best way is make 3 or 4 split clamps identical which clamp onto the 115mm dia column. Design a plate to bolt onto it with either dovetail or ballrails, buy a use bf20 lathe milling head...
BF20 is too small for a ford V8 engine, even a bridgeport is too small. You'll need a 'huron' style mill to work on V8 blocks.
You might get the heads on a RF45 benchtop, BF20 lacks that extra 4...
good old bishop!
If you can befriend somebody with a cnc wire cutting machine then it is very easy to make one.
I'm using an old shunt welder with diodes and a large cap, makes a lovely hum when warming up!
I'd say go for it, if it's production you want then haunt the auction houses.
Otherwise, 1/3 of a tonne, single phase is about as good as it gets for most home users.
Love the crimping die, you know isn't funny how after all these years the zone never opened forums for motorbikes or cars?
Probably get to busy around the zone then,,,
Hi zoners, would anybody please be able to help me find a post for V9 to Tnc415?
Even if you pasted the post as, er, post like this as text I would be immensely greatful.
Kind regards from elmer.
I cant believe you're driving a bridgeport with it, I bought this kit with an RF45 in mind.
Post a few pics please? The breakout board is a rip off from Keling, wires the same. The driver PDF is...
I know this one!
Download a pdf of the 'TNC426' from heidenhain website.
While your there, download a software called 'TNC remont'.
Solder a cable together, DB9 to DB25 with the length needed to...
Hey, that's cool.
Hi Arich,
I bought a Wantai kit of 1317oz motors x 3, 5.8 amp drivers x 3, breakout board and a 24v power supply. They supplied little info, googled most of stuff for info and what i couldn't find i...
Ok Hiredgun, I will try and give real input.
That didn't work;
a/ to much time consuming cad detail.
b/ changing direction midstream on design.
c/ under equipped tooling limiting the scope of...
All alone in a hijacked thread nobody reads, I found a small snip of information with reference to an X11?!? X11? Does anybody know anything about this X11?
I think it was an Auto Union project that...
I tried the rhythm method with a backpacker once and that didn't work!
