HI Guys I am new bee for fadal does anyone know how to how to set tools in a random access tool changer.Any help will be appreciated.

I'm a little too new to give any advice, but are you sure your tool changer is random? My tools are in numerical order in a clockwise direction ( viewed from above). The changer will spin in either direction based on the shortest path to the new tool. It looks a little random.

Have you tried calling T0101 M6 (in MDI) and putting the tool you want to be tool #1 in the spindle, then calling T0202 and putting the tool you want to be tool #2 in the spindle, .... and keep doing that until you've got all the tools loaded that you want to use?
Somehow, mysteriously, the control remembers where the tools are located. Once they're all loaded in the carousel, you can randomly call them up.

As a last resort, there's the manual.....

I have a fadal with 32 tool chain random pocket changer. I just call up the tool position (M6 T8) in mdi and put it in the spindle. This way I don't have to worry about which pocket im putting the tool in since the machine keeps track of it.
