KASTO decided to implement the software solution HSplan/IS-SAP from HSi GmbH with pre-configured process modules for fast and exact IT-based calculation of target times on the basis of standardised times. An essential requirement was the capabiltiy of integrating the planning software in the existing SAP systems.

With more than 140,000 saws and more than 1,700 installed warehouses and picking systems, Kasto today has a worldwide reputation for sawing, warehousing and picking systems. The development from series production to customer-oriented job production increasingly necessitated adaptations in the conventional production planning with respect to time management and calculation. Every planner was responsible for his own empirically based parameters. The consequence: deviations in the calculated target times, and the calculations were not 100 percent reproducible...
