HSplan is a technology-oriented production planning system operating with stored
HSi process modules which can be used to quickly and accurately calculate target
times and, consequently, create production plans. The complex processes
necessary for mechanical machining processes such as milling, turning, drilling,
eroding, etc. are visualised in the matching pre-configured process modules.
These modules are comprised of rules that govern the calculation of the times as
well as cutting and time data already customary in the industry. The pivotal
component of the system is the HSi technology base®. The key advantages of using
HSplan are the elimination of subjectivity during the calculation, the improved
quality of the calculated times and the transparency of every calculation.
Better still, the system affords every user an easy way to modify the technology
data on which the calculations are based.
In the context of the target time calculation the exhibiting company points to
the significance of the complex modules, as they allow for an ultra-fast and
sufficiently accurate pre-calculation. This kind of speed and accuracy is
achieved by the summarisation levels “Parts-specific calculation processes for
one workflow” and “Standard production plans”. These levels are based on the
calculation of the exact allowed times for form elements or work steps involving
stored cutting and time data retrieved from the HSi technology base®. The second
level is used to complete the parts-specific calculation processes for one
workflow, allowing for geometric and technological dependencies of the different
classes of parts. This stage already allows for a quick, exact and transparent
calculation of the time with just a handful of parameters. Stored in the
standard production plans on the third summarisation level are all necessary
workflows including their calculations. A repeat calculation reproduces the
exact times including their current parts data.
The HSi system applies various procedures to support the option of a target time
qualification for pre-calculations, especially with regard to set-up and piece
times. On the one hand, the system makes it possible to effortlessly modify the
technology data: either by means of individual correction factors or by entering
the current cutting and time data. On the other hand, the system juxtaposes the
target times gathered from the pre-calculation with the run-times from the NC
programming or the ACTUAL times from production as alternative times. The
decisive benefit behind this approach is that the calculator can make use of
these alternative times if the parts produced are multiple usage parts. If, on
the other hand, production involves a similar part, e.g. a variant, the HSi
calculation can be used as the initial basis, eliminating the need to calculate
anything else but the deviations or modifications. Today, as in the years
before, the production of an entirely new part, i.e. a unique specimen, requires
an HSi calculation that produces reliable results during the calculation of
quotations and for the production plan creation once the order has been
awarded.
HSi solutions set themselves apart by a shallow learning curve, superior ease of
use and an intuitive Web-based interface. Since they can always be adapted to
the latest changes and developments, the software modules provide for more
planning reliability and investment security. They run on all common operating
systems. Ready-to-use connections and implementations already exist for SAP,
BAAN, eEVOLUTION, FEPA, GODYO P4, IFOS, INFOR, INFORMING, NAVISION, PSIPENTA,
WINCARAT and others.
