HI all,
I recently purchased a machine that was shipped with the very capable GSK980MDc controller.
Thing is I use repeatable Z tooling similar to the TTS system for R8 spindles which allows me to premeasure and record the tool height offsets.
Previously I was using Mach3 and this was not a problem
With the GSK980MDc, to get this functionality, I will probably need to modify the PLC ladder that it runs in the background. It has functions in build for ATCs that I can purchase extra or make my own but that will have to wait.
For the time being I am looking for help to do the following, remember I change the tools out by manually undoing the drawbar:
When program call M6, the controller has been set to run program O9000 which I an code a macro for:
1) Z axis go to reference position
2) Machine display on screen "Change to tool Number ##"
-Here I unscrew the draw bar and change the tool
3) When cycle start button is pressed the CNC program resumes.
I can write the macro to go to Z home and then execute an M00 wait but I cannot get the controller to ask for the next tool called by the T argument (e.g. T05). Setting the height after M6 executes is not an issue.
If there is anyone versed in the use of the GSK ladder logic that is able to help, I would gladly pay.
Kind regards
George
