The new HEIDENHAIN VT 122 measuring camera with VTC software combines the roles of tool presetter, tool microscope and visual tool inspector in a single intelligent system. This 3-in-1 vision system delivers the hard facts needed for holistic tool evaluation. Taken from within the machine envelope, the camera’s images enable tool wear measurement and other important tool inspections from the convenience of a CNC control or office PC, thereby reducing trips to the metrology lab. Significant gains in time, productivity and process reliability are the result.

IndustryArena visiting the HEIDENHAIN booth – it was a pleasure for us.

In a conversation at AMB2024 with NC trainer Daniel Larisch from the HEIDENHAIN Technical Academy, we gained exciting insights into innovative new products such as the TNC7 control system with the Override Controller 310. We also introduced the TD110 for precise tool breakage detection and the VT122, a camera for accurate tool measurement.

The focus is on efficiency, safety, and smart prevention – for a future-oriented CNC world!
