Makro-Grip® Ultra Clamping System

Incredible modularity meets enormous application versatility. the completely new Makro-Grip® Ultra product group offers users countless options for clamping their components and can be changed more easily and quickly than ever before.
Thanks to the expandability of the individual clamping modules, Makro-Grip® Ultra is able to securely hold components of 810 mm in length and beyond. Different system heights, individually expandable clamping ranges, interchangeable clamping jaw types and helpful supplementary modules -Makro-Grip® Ultra is enormously flexible and equally suitable for single or multiple part clamping, cubic, round or asymmetric components. Thanks to the wide range of configuration options, the modular system covers practically every clamping situation imaginable.

Due to its profitable features and efficiency advantages in workpiece clamping, embossing technology has been considered the benchmark in 5-sided machining of workpieces for years. The Makro-4Grip clamping system now opens up completely new possibilities and areas of application for embossing technology.
By simple and cost-effective modification of the Makro-Grip® stamping station and a LANG centric clamping vice, positive clamping can now also be used for round material.
The pair of jaws grips the pre-stamped workpiece (clamping depth 6.5 mm) at a total of four clamping points with up to 20 kN holding force at a tightening torque of 70 / 100 Nm. Makro-4Grip covers clamping ranges from ø 36 mm to ø 300 mm and provides a seamless transition from the maximum workpiece diameter of the Preci-Point collet chuck.
The Makro-4Grip clamping system consists of a universal pair of embossing jaws with flexibly positionable embossing inserts and matching clamping jaws for all sizes of LANG center clamps. The clamping jaws are available as spare jaws for the base body widths 77 mm and 125 mm.

Like the Makro-4Grip clamping system, the Vasto-Clamp 6-jaw chuck is designed for clamping round parts. While Makro-4Grip primarily serves the positive clamping of blanks with its embossing technology, Vasto-Clamp uses a force-locking clamping principle to hold round material securely. With its six top jaws, which are available in four different versions in steel and aluminum for different clamping ranges, Vasto-Clamp can be used for blank machining with hardened gripper jaws on the one hand and is also ideally suited for deformation-sensitive components on the other. The manually operated spiral chuck can be used flexibly as both a 3-jaw and a 6-jaw chuck. Its top jaws are fastened completely without additional tools using an innovative click system that ensures an extremely robust and resilient jaw fit. The Vasto-Clamp is available with integrated zero point mounting for the Quick-Point®96 zero point clamping system, as well as automation interface for the LANG automation RoboTrex.

The Stamping Technology, also called pre-stamping, is a patented technology which became a benchmark for workholding. In the stamping process a workpiece is stamped outside of the machine tool, using a stationary or mobile stamping unit, with up to 20 tons of pressure, before being clamped in the Makro-Grip 5-Axis Vice.

Clamping scenarios that require high holding power, but where the danger of workpiece deformation exists, can be mastered with the stamping process.
