October 2018: Linz, Austria – WFL takes over 100% of FRAI Elektromaschinenbau GmbH.
FRAI was founded in 1984 and is focusing on automation solutions in the machine tool industry. CEO and founder, Aitzetmüller Friedrich, is going to retire after an agreed transition period. He was on the search for a successor for his company, which he found in WFL Millturn Technologies, a manufacturer of multifunctional complete machining centers based in Linz.
The perfect symbiosis of highly productive machinery and manufacturing solutions combined with automation solutions will reform the WFL product portfolio from now on. WFL takes over 100% of FRAI Elektromaschinenbau Gesellschaft m.b.H as of October 2018. That is to say, there will be a complete takeover of the trade name, the established customers, the reference projects, the production capacity as well as of FRAI’s professional staff. However, the office and production site will remain in St. Konrad (about 50km from Linz). Mr. Aitzetmüller, CEO and founder of FRAI, remains responsible for the operational management for a defined period of time to ensure a smooth integration.
Automation solutions have always been a constant companion when it comes to the decision whether to buy a MILLTURN or not. Especially regarding the smaller sized MILLTURN series, automation becomes essential. Digitalization demands an increasing offer of automation solutions as well. “Automation solutions are of crucial importance to many of our customers or are even a precondition for placing an order in several cases.
