Description
DIAMOND and CBN grinding wheels are recommended for the manufacturing and the sharpening of cutting tools.
DIAMOND will be used for Carbide, Cermet, PCD and PCBN.
CBN will be used for Hardened tool alloy (SKS, SKD,…), HSS and Stellite.
Various shapes of wheels can be used, depending on the final shape of the tool (saw teeth, drill, end mill,…).

Resin bond will be the most used bond for this application because of its flexibility, cost and delivery time.
Metal or vitrified bond will apply to some serial production like PCD or PCBN inserts, regarding the good shape remaining and tool life.
