FANUC Collaborative robot assists Opel Szentgotthard’s production

As one of Europe’s largest automakers, Opel sold around 1.13 million vehicles in 2017. The ultra-modern engine plant in Szentgotthard produces the new, very fuel-efficient three and four-cylinder gasoline engines with 1.0 to 1.8-liter displacement as well as the newest generation of mid-size diesel engines. In the recent years, many research and development projects were implemented in Szentgotthárd. In cooperation with FANUC, an innovative collaborative robot application has been installed at the production line of Szentgotthard plant.
