A major attraction and almost a close friend, Titan the robot is visiting the Siemens booth (Hall 4 / Booth C12) at AMB. This time, however, he not only wants to find out about the progress made with regard to Industrie 4.0 and digital production. Titan is on a personal mission: he is having problems with his shoulder and desperately needs a tailor-made spare part – batch size 1, of course. And help is at hand – from programming to simulation to the actual CNC production of the spare part, the complete process is mapped with Siemens solutions. Milling with SINUMERIK MDynamics and Top Surface produces perfect surfaces to ensure that Titan can once again move his shoulder without problems. We wish him a speedy recovery.
