We have promoted future generations again this year.

On Tuesday 1 March 2016 the annual job information day at the Deutschorden school took place in Swabian Lauchheim. All pupils from grade 8 and 9 had the chance to gain insights into the jobs of trade, industry, commerce, services and training programs. Altogether 21 companies and institutions presented their activities – including the local Sumitomo Electric Hartmetallfabrik GmbH.

Three of Sumitomo’s trainees presented the cutting machine operator apprenticeship and took questions from interested pupils, especially on our placed machining tools which piqued their curiosity.

According to Mrs. Wittenbeck, principal of Deutschorden school, the job information day was a win-win situation. She is really proud that today the event represents a fixed part of the annual school program.
