AMB 2014: Peak Values for Large Volume Shaft Manufacturing with VT 4-4

The VT 4-4 Vertical Turning Machine is designed for the highly productive machining of shaft components with a maximum length of 1.050 mm and a maximum diameter of 200 mm.

+ Automated
Workpiece grippers transport raw parts into the machine and remove them again after they have been machined. While one gripper places a new component in the work area, the other is removing the finished part.

+ Simultaneous
The machining process uses four axes with a maximum speed of 6,000 rpm. Two tool turrets, each with eleven tool positions, can be equipped with turning tools or driven tools with one tool position  occupied by the gripper.
