Electro-chemical Machining (ECM) with up to four axes – live at AMB!

The PT-Series machines components electro-chemically with up to four axes and without thermal effects. Even very intricate 3-D structures are possible. Feed speeds of up to 5 mm/min are achieved for roughing. Full area and parallel machining of 20 to 30 components mean that great economy can be achieved for medium to large quantities. Precision during production extends below 20 micrometers. Service life of ECM tools is very long, with a major cost factor is removed compared to cutting processes. In addition, there are no micro-cracks as found in eroding which adversely affect the stability of the component, a particularly important factor for high performance press tools.
