The European Photonics Industry Technology Platform publishes a market study at the end of the Horizon 2020 research framework program.

The global photonics market is 654 billion euros in 2019, the growth rate of 7% exceeds GDP. The European photonics industry maintained its market share of 16%, the market volume increased from 76 billion euros (2015) to 103 billion euros (2019).
