Federal Minister of Economics Robert Habeck visits ifm's booth at the Hannover Messe

During his tour of the Hannover Messe, Federal Minister for Economic Affairs Robert Habeck and his delegation visited the stand of the ifm Group in Hall 9. Michael Marhofer, co-CEO of the group, showed the minister how ifm solutions can help customers increase energy efficiency in industrial applications. Specifically, it was about compressed air – one of the most expensive forms of energy in industry. Flow sensors from ifm record four relevant measurands in compressed air systems in one device: the current flow rate, the pressure, the total flow rate and the temperature. This data is transmitted via IO-Link and an edgeGateway to the IIoT cloud solution ifm moneo. There, the data can be monitored and evaluated centrally. This helps companies to identify leaks at an early stage and thus avoid unnecessary energy consumption and the associated costs. The Minister was impressed by how innovative solutions can help to avoid unnecessary energy consumption and thus increase efficiency.
