ifm SCM Awards presented

The prestigious ifm SCM Awards were once again presented at the SCM Success Days conference organized by ifm in Siegen. The award ceremony took place on June 4 at the Apollo Theater in Siegen.
As part of the Success Days, which have been taking place in Siegen since 2008, numerous experts from various fields related to supply chain management came together again this year. In addition to the interesting presentations at the symposium, the presentation of the ifm SCM Awards was one of the highlights of the event. An expert jury selected the winners in the categories “Best Expansion Idea,” “Fastest and Widest Implementation,” and “Best Optimization Project.”
The Success Days culminated in a fitting finale with the award ceremony hosted by Bilgin Kilic, Head of Direct Sales, on June 4. Variosystems AG, headquartered in Switzerland, was honored in the category “Best Expansion Idea.” As part of a development partnership, Variosystems had the idea of integrating films, videos, and documentation into the Process Explorer in addition to the tasks and establishing a connection to the DMS. As a result, all tasks and documentation are now clearly arranged in one place. Toni Gantenbein and André Bättig accepted the award on behalf of Variosystems.
The team from Fuchs SE, represented by Dr. Ann-Kathrin Müller and Thomas Engelhardt, was delighted to receive the award in the category “Fastest and Widest Implementation.” The company implemented the Forecast solution at its branch in Johannesburg, South Africa, within just six months. The project was characterized by perfect cooperation between experienced GIB consultants and a professional project team from South Africa. The next step is to roll out the solution developed in South Africa as the standard within the Fuchs Group.
Rotkäppchen-Mumm secured the award in the “Best Optimization Project” category. With its controlling and operations solutions, the company was able to reduce out-of-stock situations to a minimum while achieving a €35 million reduction in inventory over the past seven months. Frank Beyer accepted the award on behalf of the company.
