    Jogging problem

I am not sure if this is a wiring or Mach2 problem. I finally got the controller working and the motors tuned. I then cleaned up the wiring and closed the box. Now the Y axis will not jog continuous, it did the once after I closed the box . When I jog the Y axis it jumps like it did when the A and B channels were backwards and the readout jumps 1 to 3 inches. OK I guess the encoder leads are backwards again but I don't think so, or a wire is loose. Before I opened the controller box again I tried to move Y in incremental mode and it works great. The axis moves 1" or .001" and the readout reads same.

So what is the deal? If the encoder was wired wrong it would not work in inc. either would it?

In 'cleaning up the wiring' you might now be getting crosstalk between the high current lines and the signal lines. Try separating these.
