Its not easy for a number of reasons:
1. That card is not currently supported by LinuxCNC. Writing a driver would be a fair amount of work.
2. Its and ISA card so even if it could be supported, it would be hard to find a motherboard with an ISA slot thats new/powerful enough to support LinuxCNC, say 384M RAM minimum and 1 GHz processor minimum (not impossible though, some Pentium 3 vintage MBs are OK and have ISA slots)
3. Its a "smart" controller card using LM628 chips This does not suit LinuxCNCs control model (though I suspect you could just feed position waypoints to the card at LinuxCNCs 1KHz servo thread rate and do OK assuming you can solve the other problems)
You may be able to use the existing drives/motor/encoders with some hardware that is supported by LinuxCNC however.
Hello 777funk! what did you end up doing with this situation?
I ended up sticking with the stock G-Code program by Techno Isel and running it with the Pentium 2 that came with the machine. It works great. It's just a little out dated. I had to create G-Code on one machine and transfer the programs over my home network. This seemed to be the path of least resistance.
