    Post Used Arrow 750 - My First Commercial VMC

    I'm going to look at a used VMC Arrow 750. Any pointers on items of concern on these machines? What parts are still avail for these?

    Hi, sburrell

    I've had a few struggles over the last two years;

    - failing HDD (replaced with modern SSD)
    - failing BIOS-memory on RT-motherboard (snipped off original battery, and soldered on dual AA-holder for ease of later replacement - set sufficient settings in BIOS)
    - seized servo motor bearings (due to storage in unsufficient environment/temperatures - replaced)
    - servo drive failing due to aging internal passive components (caps, resistors etc.)
    - other strange behaviour (cannot remember exactly which ones) solved by reseating boards and relays.

    Other than that - great machine!

    I ended up getting a used Excel Machine. So far pretty happy with it. Nothing fancy.
