    mazak computer error message

i run a mazak vtc-200c with pc fusion 640 m controller. on boot up we get this error message,Process of m64 group A.exe[m64GROUPA]
    didn't return ok.
i want to make sure it isn't some simple problem that i can fix myself before calling in help.the on screen speed is so slow when pushing buttons but the machine runs fine once it's started on the position page.if anyone can suggest any solutions or just point me in the right direction it would be greatly appreciated.thank you.

We have a solution. We called mazak with the error codes and they directed us to mitsubishi where the diagnosis was motherboard and hard drive failure.I was able to call in help once it was determined that the problem was hardware related and not a simple fix.A service tech replaced the motherboard and the hard drive . With both replaced we're back to lightning fast button pushing. The only problem is next time they'll expect me to do the repair !

I only asked because we have two Vtc 200's. Each was manufactured 6 months apart and like yours early in 2000 and mid 2000.

Each failed close to 6 months apart with the last one failing just after Christmas.

Both required new motherboards (HR113 board).

So this makes three machines now that have failed like this after a VERY specific period of time.

    Makes you go Hmmmm!

We asked Mitsubishi to send us just a new HR113 board but they said we would have to send the control to them with the hard drive because it could not be configured "in the field". Something to do with "Main A" and "Main B."

If you locate the date stamp on the main board behind all the capacitors on the power supply card I will bet it will be close to the same vintage as the original as you don't get a "new" board but a supposedly "rebuilt" board.

Don't remove the power supply card for more than a few minutes or you will loose your tool data etc. same thing as a battery failure.

I'm not paranoid but the trend I find very interesting.

    Mazak VTC 30

I turned on the Mazak VTC 30 machine and got this error below.. After replaceing HD with a new one I still get this error. I read in another post from a few years back that someone had a similar problem and it was the motherboard. What would be the best option to figure out which board is bad, the insides don't look like a normal motherboard with boards attached.

If anyone has any suggestion I could use any.

Mazak t1 control CPU Down, will not boot up

Mazak t1 control will not boot up. Sometimes screen displays CPU Down for a while and then shuts down. Other times screen will not come on at all. Input to power supply board is 99 volts. Output, 5v unused is 3.8v, two other outputs that are used go to .5 volts and drop to zero. Checked load on 5v wires and load was not showing. Will check more tomorrow. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Fist time posting so please explain if I need to post in a different place or category and how to do it. Thanks in advance, Gary Can I list my phone on this post?

    Hi Gary,

You are best off starting a new thread for this problem but we"ll try to help. The problems above deal with a much newer control then yours. As for posting your phone number, I wouldn't but that's just me. Most of the people on this forum are good guys but this is the internet after all.

CPU down on a T1 control in most cases is the main card LX51 but it could be another board. Your best bet is to give Mitsubishi a call 847-478-2500. They can give you some things to check out and recommend some parts for you, if they have them as this is an old control. If they don't have them they should be able to repair them too.

Hope this helps and let us know how you made out.
