After I got my G0704 a couple weeks ago, figured I would add DRO's until I get the CNC setup. Cut some 2" (1/8" thick) steel I had and welded a bracket and mounted to two screws that are on the headstock, wanted to give others idea's where to mount:
When I first got the machine, I played around for about an hour cutting some scrap aluminum I had, then threw an 80% lower in a jig and proceeded to cutting. A couple things I'm going to buy since is a roughing end mill to get that material out quicker, but overall turned out great:
thanks to everyone on this forum, spent a month reading before I purchased the Grizzly, and still reading for other idea's and the CNC conversion

Nice idea for the mount, and the lower looks pretty good. Hope you've got extra LPK's sitting around.

Oh yea, I'm one of those people that prepared, plus I build guns for myself and others, so built a bunch of custom AR's, stock up on parts as they are available, but won't pay some if the high prices that some are asking

Cool.. Here is my DRO Head for my G0704 with my 80% lowers and a 100% from mogunparts waiting on fedex to deliver the rest of it should be here today... should be installed over the weekend...

Thank god you didn't make the lower from plastic or the Fed might close down the website or something!
