I started setting up my lathe and thus far have only been able to get one axis to move. Maybe someone can help? See details below.

Mach 4
Windows 7 64bit
USB to Ethernet Converter
ESS Smoothstepper (individual 5v source)
FEMALE LPH26-to-DB25 FEMALE ribbon cable
Mini Gender Changer
C10 Breakout Board (individual 5v source)
2x KL 4030 Stepper motor drivers
KL-350 Power Supply
2x Nema 23 270oz stepper motors

I followed the wiring schematic here- http://www.automationtechnologiesinc...030WithC10.pdf

Using pins 6-com-7 on the bob I was able to get the Z axis to move and started playing with the motor tuning. I have the jumpers on the bob set to output, 5v, and pin2-9 pull down.

Both motors are getting power because they lock when I power up the system. I cannot get the X axis to do anything, except during my troubleshooting, I was able to get movement removing the x axis wiring and using 6-com-7, but very little (I think I just had settings wrong in mach). But why wouldn't I be able to use more than one axis? I believe I read somewhere that the mini gender changer for the ribbon cable from the bob to the ess can invert the pinouts. Is there any way to reconfigure the pinouts or do I just need to get a male-male ribbon cable?

Thanks
