New Sign in VCarve pro 4

    Hi -

As posted before I just purchased VCarve Pro. This is one of the signs I am making once I level the bed on my DIY CNC Router.

Here is link to the thread on my router:

Attached are pics of the sign I will be cutting on the router.

    Thanks -
Sitting here trying to learn the software. On the preview I am using MDF since on my first cuts I will actually cut it out of MDF. This is a very nice program. Here is one I am working on for my Church.

    :wee:

Coloring books are a great source of images for Vcarve.

Yep, & you can take that image into an image editing program (before Vcarve) & add/delete anything you want, & it's all so simple, Vcarve is very cool!

Guys, please don't post copyrighted images. It's against forum rules, and illegal as well.

    Looks great!

Tip for getting better previews in VCarve Pro.

Add an Engraving Cutter to the Tool Database that has a small Flat Tip Diameter and use this to calculate the previews. It only needs say a 0.003" Flat Diameter and this will result in a flat / smooth background.

Note - the Engraving cutters are specified using half the cutter angle
So a 90 VBit would be specified as a 45 Side Angle Engraving Cutter.

I hope this might be useful.

Thanks but I do not fully understand? I want to add a few cutters. I want to add a dremel 1/8" engraving bit.

    Thanks -

I think Tony was talking about , how to remove toolmarks on the image.

Look real close at the toolmarks in the last image you posted.

Toolmarks are created from the stepover of the V-toolbit (tool point).

Tony knows his stuff (He is Vectric Software).
