    Indramat DDS02.1/DDS03.1

    Hallo!
I want to make a test with drive and motor.

    I have nr.1 drive DDS03.1-W030-R or DDS02.1-W100-D and MKD025B-144.GP0-KN motor.
Both drive have DSS1.3 fiber optical cards.

What i need for test motor?
Which Software? Drivetop support only version DDS03.2/DDS02.2 ....
I have the cable for connect X2 to PC but drivetop fails to connect.

    Thanks for help.

    Rastaban,
You will need to use the Sercos connections to run the drive & motor through Drivetop, this will mean you need a Sercos interface @ your computer.
I don't know if these are available on the open market, I had one when I was an Indramat Service Tech.

Your other option is to re-configure the drives to run as analogue & mimic the IO needed to run them, I can't remember, but, you may need an option card to read the feedback on the MKD in the DDS drive.

To tell I would need the full drive configuration.

The motor has a single turn, thus, non absolute, feedback of the resolver type, "G" at the end of the type code, the "P" indicates a shaft with keyway, the "0" means no holding brake, the "K" indicates a terminal box connection, the "N" is no other options.

The DDS is not a "normal" drive for use with the MKD motor, that does not mean it cannot be run, but it would be an unusual combination.

Your MKD motor is resolver based motor and DDS03.1-W030-R is resolver based amplifier, so you can run these two together without any problems. All you need is power cable, feedback cable and Sercos box to connect btw DDS and PC. You can use Drive Top program to communicate.
DDS02.1-W100-D is digital feedback drive and you need motor with digital feedback, like MDD motor....

    Rastaban,
The part number of the SERCANS/SYSDA box is R911277969.
I have asked actually and it is available on the open market, but it was to special order and over 1k GBP I think.
Not sure if it comes with cables though.
It would need 2 off SERCOS II fibre optic cables, and an RS232, and thus a PC that had an RS 232 port to run the SERCANS/SYSDA box through.

What other card are you enquiring about?

Excuse me , I thought that there were other tabs .

Which software and which version should I use to communicate with the RS232 and the PC ?

Sysda 1.1 is firmware/hardware, so it's not available unless you buy the "box" from Bosch Rexroth.

If you are going RS232 you need a suitably wired RS232 cable, and DriveTop, which IIRC is a free download from the Bosch Rexroth website.

Use the latest version, if that does not work use the older version, the last time I looked there were only two.

Please be aware that the RS232 is not true real time data.

    Dear Paul,
    thanks for your update.

    So..my DriveTop 16V14 haven't in library follow model DDS02.1 and DDS03.1 but only DDS02.2 and DDS03.2.
Do you have DriveTop with work with DDS02.1 and DD03.1 ?

    Thanks in advance.

    Hello,

Yes, "embarrassed face", I had forgotten we were on about DDS's!
I was thinking about Ecodrives, sorry.
THe software we used to use for DDS via serial was DDS2PC, it is a terminal emulation programme, so you should be able to use any terminal emulation programme as long as you have the right lead.
The lead wiring is in the DDS manual I think, the serial connector on the drive is non-standard IIRC.
