Guys, I'm fairly new to CNC plasma. I am doing a somewhat ambitious project and realized right away that a cnc plasma table without THC is very limited. I will be adding THC to my table, but have a few questions. Your wise thoughts would be much appreciated.

1. There is so much information out there on this topic that it's difficult for a newbie to sift through and get the real scoop.
2. With the Crossfire, I believe I will need a Z-axis such as the Rattmmotor CBX1605 (https://www.amazon.com/Actuator-CBX1...22&sr=1-3&th=1), a floating head slide such as the KARVECUT-25 MM CNC FLOATING PLASMA TORCH HEAD (https://step-motion.com/products/25-...mount-assembly), 2 limit switches for the Z-axis limits, and a THC controller kit. Is this list complete?
3. Which DIY THC controller kit makes sense for my application? Where does the term "standalone" come into play?
4. Langmuir wants $750 for this add-on. It seems like I can DIY this for maybe $300 and learn at the same time. Yes, no, crazy?

You can also purchase the Z axis specifically design for small plasma tables,like Langsmuir.
