    Losing Z after repower.

I have an RW15. All is well until I power down for the day. When I return the next day and home the machine the Z axis is out by about .750" at tool changer. Any help would be appreciated. Did T0M6 and that seemed to solve it after multiple attempts. Just want to know why this is happening.

Does this control use the home switch AND the encoder marker as done on high end machines?
If so, it is often because the home switch is too close to the marker, and a grid zone shift can occur.
In this case the home switch is moved and then a grid shift parameter is adjusted to zero in the position accurately, you could have a similar system if the marker is used.

These are the only machines I've ever worked on. They have a home switch. As to using an encoder marker I am not sure. This machine is not high end as you say. Thank you for the reply though as this will give me another question to ask when I call the manufacturer today.
