    Angry Unable to set frequency parameters higher than 300Hz (Folinn BD600)

    Hi everyone.

    My VFD and spindle arrived this week and I finally got around to wiring it up and doing the initial configuration setup.

    I'm following this guide (Mine is toward the bottom of the page;

    https://makerhardware.net/wiki/doku....w_huanyang_vfd

    The frequency settings are supposed to be set as follows;

    Max Output Frequency F00.03 = 400.00
    Run Frequency - Upper Limit F00.04 = 400.00
    Run Frequency - Lower Limit F00.05 = 133.00 (I was able to set this one...)
    Keypad Setting Frequency F00.10 = 400
    Motor Rated Frequency F02.02 = 400

    I was able to set all of the parameters in the guide except the frequency ones above. I've reset the VFD about 4 times now and started again, but I hit the same wall every time. It defaults to 50Hz, but won't go higher than 300Hz. The VFD is capable of outputting 600Hz.

    Any help will be SOOO welcomed. This is driving me nuts already.

    Well... looks like the VFD is DOA.

    I hooked up the spindle to at least let it run @300Hz, but the spindle just screamed and wouldn't rotate.

    I measured the output of the VFD with my DMM and at 133Hz (minimum frequency setting) it was only putting out about 96V between the phases, but at 8.6kHz.

    When I dialled it up to 300Hz the voltages between phases were 79V, 136V and 212V and the frequencies were 9.7kHz, 5.9kHz and 5.2kHz.

    So... it's not a stretch of the imagination to say that the VFD is... #$%&@, but I want to check that the spindle is actually still OK.

    My new question is... Is there anyone on the Sunshine Coast (Queensland) that would let me test my spindle on their VFD?

    Thanks in advance.

    If you have a regular DMM, you can't measure the output of a VFD Drive, you will get false readings It has to have a built-in low pass filter or designed for VFD Drive use.

    This is the Parameter settings that you need set for that VFD Drive this was for a 2.2Kw water cooled so don't know what you have, but adjust the motor Parameters to suit your motor

    This should get you going if you have changed any other Parameters return them to the Default

    F00.00=2 ( 2= V/F control start with this once all is running then try it at 0 Vector Control )

    F00.03=400

    F00.04=400

    F00.05=100

    F00.10=400

    F00.12=8 ( Adjustable)

    F00.13=8 ( Adjustable)

    F00.17=6 ( Max 8 )

    F00.18=1

    F01.01=10

    F01.05=1

    F02.01=2.2

    F02.02=400

    F02.03=24000

    F02.04=220

    F02.05=7

    F03.28=400

    F03.29=400

    F04.02=100

    Re: Unable to set frequency parameters higher than 300Hz (Folinn BD600)

    Leave these Parameters at Default and see if you have set all the main Parameters these all select the A or B Frequency mode

    So, if you set F00.06=10 which I believe you have, then you have to set F00.07 also along with F00.08 and F00.09

    F00.06=0
    F00.07=0
    F00.08=0
    F00.09=0
