I'm new to the ESAB/Columbus world, and sadly I'm unimpressed by the software currently...I'm running Columbus 5.22 and trying to work with pre-nested drafts done in AutoCAD.
The problem I'm having is that when I bring the draft into Columbus and tell it to generate leaders and tool paths it jumps all over the place instead of going along a relatively linear path from one part to the next. This is going to mean a lot of excessive piercing and motion in the gantry and cost me a lot of wasted time during the burn process.
With the software I was using at my former shop (Torchmate based) I could sequence the parts manually but I have been completely unable to find a way to accomplish the same goals in Columbus to make my cutting more efficient. Sadly, speaking with ESAB support this morning has not helped. Does anyone else work with this and know how to help me out?
