I looking in forum to find some tool setter idea. I found nothing I like. But I think to be good idea to put one penny touchprobe upside down and use as a toolsetter. I attached sketch of that.
TestPlate (printed circuit board) are pressed up to 3 pins by spring. The PCB plate has cooper only in the edge ring and ring is splited. So one wire from computer goes to one of pin, from next pin wire is soldered to pcb track and from last pin wire is feed to computer. Nothing special none of electronics. Just maybe add 100nF capacitor paralel with probe. As center of PCB disc has no cooper the probe is insulated from machine/tool and doesn't rely on spindle bearing insulation.
