    Surestep Brand Drives/Motors

    Hello Guys,

I'm another newbie.........Have any of you had any experience buying any of the SURESTEP brand of stepper drives and stepping motors which are from Automationdirect.com??
They seem to have some nice equipment but I am a little concerned about using/interfacing their drives with some of the CNC software.
I would like to build a CNC router and am in the design stage now.

    I would appreciate your input.

    Thanks,

    Sven

They should work fine with any step/direction control software. However, if you don't need more than 7 amps, look at using Gecko G203V's. And look at motors from www.kelinginc.net

The Geckos are outstanding drives, and most members here are using motors from Keling. This can save you several hundred $$ vs the Automation Direct products.
