Putting power supll. in PC Case with Motherboar?

Would it be a good idea to put the power supply and all the stepper drives in the same case as the pc components are?
Maybe putting a metal shield to separate the pc stuff from the stepper parts.

This was I will have one big box instead of two

    Thanks

Sure. This is done ofte. Be sure the wires from the stepper drives to the motors are shielded. These can be a source of RF / EMI since they are pulsing. The interference can come from any condutor where the voltage is moving up and down.

Cooling is something you need to think about too. You have all the hot components in one small box.
