    FINISH PROBLEM

I AM GETTING A REALLY BAD FINISH ON ANY RADIUS THAT X AND Y MOVE TOGETHER. FINISHES IN X AND Y STRAIGHT MOVES ARE REALLY NICE.

I KNOW THAT THIS IS A SYMPTOM OF SOME PROBLEM WITH EITHER GAIN, BEARINGS OR PERHAPS BALL SCREW. ANY IDEAS??

    THANKS,

    DOUG

    Smile check...

...the free play in the table gibs. Next tune the amps. Last maybe the thrust bearings?

I would also verify the servo loop gain. If your axes are not sync'd then the muliple axes motion will stair step and give a bad finish. Verify that the their is no lost mechanical motion!
