I have just replaced the ethernet network card on our Hurco VM1 cnc. I have used an exact replacement card, 3COM 3C5098-C ISA Ethernet Card, but the machine is telling me "Ethernet Card Is Not Configured Properly. Make Sure Plug and Play Capability Is Turned Off On Card". I have no idea what this involves and our local IT man seems to be stuck as well.

Can any of you guys help please.

The Hurco Vm1 Machine is from 2005 and the OS is DOS but I can't see what version.

Did Andy send you the configuration files? If it's the right card, you'll need to run a file called 3C515.CFG if I remember correctly.

Yes I have just found Andy's emails in the quarantine folder so I didn't see them yesterday. When our IT man gets in this morning we will try the configuration file.
