    Servo spec determination

Ok, so I have a friend that has a dozen PMDC servo motors that have only a "house part number" on them. They are about 4 inches in diameter and about 7 inches long. I hooked one up to 48 volts and it spins at 1000 RPM. Any ideas on how to test these for torque? He is interested in selling them and I told him I would offer them here (in classifieds) but I would like to be able to list their torque if I can determin that. I'll post a pic a little later today.

using some formulas that Mariss posted quite a while back, if they are rated at 48V and you got 1000 rpm; then

    Kv/1000=48
    Kt oz in/amp=64.85
    Max ContTorque= 170.56 ozin
