203 lead screw error .007" work shift

I have been getting a .007" to .008" shift in x from my pick up zero. i put a new x motor on a few months ago and this started shiny up. how do i get rid of the shift. Also is there a way to get any more memory for a 1994 vf2.

So you are saying that when after you home the machine, set your work offset and run something that your x position is off .007" - .008"?

Is it back lash or just a positioning error?

Since you mentioned this started after replacing the motor, have you double checked to make sure that all of your motor couplings and ball screw nuts are tight?

Yep. The strange thing is it that for example I cut a square in a square the wall thickness is the same all around. (cut inside and out with same program) If i picked up the block off a hole in the center of the block and go back to it it's off .007-.008. Its really hosing me on parts I have to flip flop to cut. I usually scrap the first one. make the shift and it cuts great after that. Pretty messed up aint it.
