    Info on Doosan HMC Hp 5100

    Hi
    Our small machine shop is looking to buy our first HMC. Does anyone have an opinion on the Hp4000 or the HP 5100? (good or Bad) What is your overall opinion on Doosan machining centers?

    Hi Dan.

    I just can across your post.
    Can you tell me what did you end up buying in the end?
    Did you find a horizontal mill a good addition to your company?
    What kind of work / Materials are you machining?

    We are in the same position as you were in 2009 and are prodominantly looking at Doosan's.

    Anyone we talk to is cutting light weight materials, cast materials or aluminium.

    We hope to cut tool steels.

    Any info would be greatly appreiated.
